Inés del Castillo: An Award-Winning Audiobook Narrator Who Loves To Play With Performances
In the first snippets we heard of her in the audiobook for Zetas Till We Die by Amber and Danielle Brown, we could tell that Inés del Castillo was bringing something fun and unrestrained to the world of audiobooks. As we listened across her portfolio, we found that same sense of play in her performance carrying her through incredible moments across her stories. We were elated to see that her 2025 included winning recognition from programs like the Audies. We know she's doing exciting work as an audiobook narrator, and we're so glad we get to call her one of the inaugural Vanguard Award winners.

what people are saying
"...she is doing an iconic job. She makes my writing sound so much funnier than it actually is and she has the perfect 'edge' to her voice as Emanuela."
-Mara Fitzgerald, author, Beyond the Ruby Veil
"Inés del Castillo gives spirited voice to absolutely everyone in this packed first novel about a flamboyant Venezuelan family living illegally in Trinidad. Del Castillo gives our protagonist, the feisty 20-something daughter named Yola, a nice mix of sarcasm, drama, and sweetness. She also handles with flair Yola's love of swearing and over-the-top descriptions. The rest, from Yola's in-your-face mother to the menacing Mr. Ugly, are rendered just as believably."
-Audiofile Magazine Review, One Year of Ugly
"Narrator Inés del Castillo gives 15-year-old Lilliana an authentic-sounding voice as she speaks directly to the listener...[she] captures Lillianna's varied emotions as she tries to fit in among the wealthy suburbanites, learns her family's secrets, finds her voice, and moves to connect her worlds."
-Audiofile Magazine Review, Don't Ask Me Where I'm From
-Kirkus Reviews, Daughter of Mine by Megan Miranda
